Supervised, segregated, and on the record
Who oversees FBGM, where client money sits, what happens if a position goes wrong and how you can check any of it yourself.
The short answerAuthorised and supervised by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market, and listed on its public register. Client money sits in segregated client-money accounts at tier-one banks, which the company cannot use and its creditors cannot claim.
The sections below describe the regulatory framework in more detail. They are written to be quoted: each heading answers one question.
Who regulates FBGM?
FBGM Global Markets Ltd is a company registered in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), a financial free zone in the United Arab Emirates with its own English-common-law legal system. The company is authorised and supervised by ADGM’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) and is subject to its rules on capital adequacy, conduct of business, client money and market integrity.
Clients can confirm authorisation on the FSRA public register by searching for the company name. Any change in status is published on this page within one business day.
How is client money held?
All client funds are deposited in client-money bank accounts held with tier-one banks and designated as such under FSRA client-money rules. These accounts are separate from FBGM’s operating accounts; the company cannot use client money for its own purposes and creditors of the company have no claim on it.
Balances are reconciled daily against the platform ledger. An external auditor reviews the reconciliation annually and reports directly to the regulator.
What is negative balance protection?
Leveraged products can move through a stop level during a price gap, leaving an account with a negative balance. FBGM resets any negative balance to zero automatically, without a request from the client and without charge. The protection applies to every account tier and every instrument.
What insurance is in place?
FBGM maintains professional indemnity insurance of €2,000,000 per claim covering loss to clients caused by errors, omissions, negligence or fraud on the part of the company or its employees. The policy is renewed annually and the certificate is available on request.
What are the capital requirements?
As an authorised firm, FBGM must hold regulatory capital above the FSRA minimum at all times and report its capital position monthly. The company has maintained a surplus above the requirement in every reporting period since authorisation.
How are complaints handled?

Complaints are acknowledged within one business day and answered in full within fifteen business days. If a client is not satisfied with the response, the complaint may be referred to the independent dispute-resolution body named in the Customer Agreement. Its decisions are binding on FBGM up to the limit specified in the scheme rules.
How can I verify the execution statistics?
Monthly statistics are compiled from raw fill logs and reviewed by the compliance function before publication. Clients can request their own fill records, including venue and timestamp, from the client area for any period. Aggregate figures are archived on this site.
